Udaipur — The City That Made Me Stay ❤️
Initially, I planned to stay in Udaipur for just two days before heading to Jodhpur. But the moment I explored the city, something changed. The vibe, the scenery, the beautiful people, and the overall atmosphere made me extend my stay every single night. Two days turned into a week. That’s how beautiful this city is, man!
I walked along the ghats, sat by the lakes for hours with my feet soaking in the water, sometimes late into the night, just enjoying the moment.
I stayed at Turtle Hostel, and honestly, it was one of the best stays of my trip. Every night, there was live music, people sharing stories on the terrace, and plenty of breakup stories. Somewhere between the music, conversations, and laughter, I became part of those memories too.
On my very first day, I met Akshat, a local law student 🫠 who took me to the hidden spot at Karni Mata Temple, where I could see the entire city of Udaipur. He also recommended some amazing food spots.
Jheel’s Ginger Cafe for wood-fired pizza, Vinod’s garlic bread near Fateh Sagar, Sai Sagar for cold coffee and so many more little discoveries that made this trip special.
Then came the people who made Udaipur unforgettable, Diksha from Ahmedabad 💃, Ahmed Shajahan from Kerala 💪, my buddy Arpan Suryavanshi from Indore 🫂, Prashanth Jain from Gurugram, two girls from Rajkot, and Sumer, the chill owner of Turtle Hostel.
From City Palace and Lake Pichola to Gangaur Ghat, Ambrai Ghat, Jagdish Temple, Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, Bahubali Hills, and so many other places, every day had something new to offer.
And then there was Rajsamand, a completely different experience. I met two policemen 👮♂️ ❤️🤌🏼 and somehow ended up spending a night at the police headquarters! What started as an unexpected encounter became one of the most memorable experiences of my journey. I’m still in touch with Dilip Singh and Sampath Jatt, and I’ll be meeting them again soon. Their story deserves a separate video.
I came to Udaipur for two days. I left with a week’s worth of memories, beautiful friendships, incredible experiences, and a city that will always hold a special place in my heart.
