Social Impact Challenge 2021-22 - Eradicate Hunger - Sushil John Amalor

The Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) Program introduced the Social Impact Challenge in 2019 and is designed to challenge YYAS alumni to come up with project ideas specific to the needs of their communities. These projects can address any problem, be short or long term, and can be done individually or as a group. The goal is for alumni to take the skills they learn back to their home countries to begin making change through meaningful activities and community engagement. YYAS alumnus Sushil John Amalor (from Kenya) launched Eradicate Hunger, an effort to donate food in addition to expanding vegetable and fruit gardens across public schools in Kenya to increase access to nutritious food for families and decrease food waste across supply chains.
