The Old Vaðlaheiði Road F832 by Akureyri - Once The Highway to the North East

This is the old Vaðlaheiði road which starts in Akureyri and end by Vaglaskógur forest in Fnjóskadalur valley. This road was unusable over the winter so the Dalsmynni road (835) was the winter route until we got a new road over Víkurskarð mountain pass (84). That road wasn't perfect either so the road tunnel project fixed that connection between north and northeast permanently in 2018. The Vaðlaheiði road is still open over the summer and used for various outdoor activities. I didn't know of the bikers until I ran into them, the road was open for general traffic so i tried not to bother them, like they didn't bother me, and thats how things work best.
