Step inside the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum — built directly beside the ruins of the Imperial Kiln Factory, where porcelain was fired for the Ming and Qing emperors for over 500 years. The museum's sweeping brick vaults, designed by Studio Zhu-Pei, are modeled on traditional kilns and built with a mix of new and recycled kiln bricks.
On July 25, 2026, the Imperial Kiln ruins were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a core component of Jingdezhen's handmade porcelain industry heritage — the world's first porcelain-themed World Heritage property.
Filmed in July 27, 2026, just days after the inscription.
📍 Imperial Kiln Museum, Taoyangli, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China
