suprisingly a tanto makes a great last ditch survival knife! the tanto has a constant curve to the belly, and the spine of the knife has a backwards sweeping arc, lending tremendous penetration power, the blade is sabre ground, and 5mm thick , the spine is sharp for ferro rods, the grind is abrupt, making a razor this edge for food prep and cutting, but alto thick enough to act as a wwedge for spliting wood.
