Thinking of climbing Gunung Ledang (also known as Mount Ophir), the highest mountain in Johor, Malaysia? Do NOT underestimate this trail!
In this video, we tackle the legendary Sagil / Lagenda trail, pushing our limits through an absolute vertical obstacle course. From the punishing initial stretch of the 700 stairs at Tangga Mahligai to surviving the notorious "KFC" (Killing Fitness Center) section, this mountain will humble you quickly!
We push through thick mud, technical granite rock faces, and pull ourselves up over 20+ ladders and steep roped climbs to finally step onto 1 insane peak standing tall at 1,276 meters above sea level.

Make sure to wear high-traction grip footwear, bring thick gloves for the roped walls, and book your mandatory guides and permits at least a month in advance via the Johor National Parks Corporation (JNPC).
