Railway Journey in Albania 2013 🇦🇱 Ambient Sound

An autumn’s train journey from Shkodër to Vorë, through rural landscapes of Albania. We took a (very) slow train through northern Albania. The journey began in complete darkness – a once-in-a-lifetime experience – as there was no electricity provided to the coaches by the legendary Class T669.1 diesel locomotive. This lasted for about an hour, until the dawn finally broke, and then we could also see how beaten and battered the coaches were. We were actually heading to Tirana, but were very unlucky with the timing: the railway station in Tirana had closed on 2 Sep 2013 (to be demolished), so we had to take a rail replacement bus the final 10 km from Vorë to Tirana.
