This was a very unique one - for the first time I tried out a domestic flight in Serbia. As a Serbian-Canadian, these are such cool flights for me to take part in. I’ve wanted to try this out for the last few years and finally this time around I was able to make it work. This is a route which sparked a lot of controversy when it was first announced. It creates political debates in Serbia considering public tax money is used for the flight, but honestly, I think it’s a great service to have and I’m surprised that more people don’t take advantage. Domestic flights, even in small countries like Serbia, have many advantages, and being that the price was only a bit more expensive than a train or a bus, but a lot faster, I would choose to fly any day. I spent from 6pm to 2am roaming around the city of Niš with my girlfriend. We enjoyed a nice walk around the vibrant city centre and had dinner at one of the most famous restaurants in the city “Nišlijska Mehana”. An amazing 8 hours spent in the city, before taking a taxi back and flying back to Belgrade, this time on an Airbus A319. Hope you enjoy!
