Six US Navy SEALs are trapped on an Afghan ridge. A Taliban cordon is closing, and the helicopters can’t launch. Four Australian SAS soldiers, who were never told the SEALs were there, cross a 600-metre gorge to reach them. This documentary reconstruction is set during Operation Anaconda, March 2002. It covers Task Force K-Bar, the lessons of Takur Ghar, the history of the Australian SAS and New Zealand SAS, and the 1842 retreat from Kabul. The historical background is documented. The rescue, the characters and their names are dramatized composites, not a verified record. Watch to the end to see how one radio call, one unpaid beer and fifteen minutes of fire from above changed everything.
