Welcome to another heartwarming episode of Raining Smiles, where Rupali, Umesh, and I continue our incredible journey. This time, we bid farewell to the beautiful Leela Kovalam and set out for our next destination, meeting locals along the way, sharing smiles, and taking endless selfies. I can’t express how deeply grateful I am for the love and warmth we receive everywhere we go – it truly touches my heart.
Our next stop brought us to the serene Uday Backwater Resort, nestled by the tranquil Vembanad Lake. The ambiance here, surrounded by nature, was calm, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. An unexpected and delightful surprise awaited us as we were welcomed with a massive traditional feast! The meal began with Kappa (Tapioca) and fresh fish straight from Vembanad Lake, which, being a unique mix of saltwater and freshwater, offered flavors unlike any other. We also savored Avial and an unforgettable pineapple curry, all enjoyed in the traditional way. And to top it all off, we ended with a sweet treat of jaggery payasam – a perfect close to an incredible meal.
After this amazing experience, we headed for an interview with our dear friend Raseena to Club FM. Want to know how she found us? Watch the vlog to find out! We had such a fun time together, and soon after, Raseena and I made our way to a local hot chips shop, where we discovered fresh banana chips in all sorts of interesting flavors. It was fascinating to see how the preparation of these crispy delights has evolved over time.
Later in the day, I had the joy of performing my stand-up show Vitthal Kaanya at Café Catamaran. The energy from the audience was incredible, and interacting with everyone there was the cherry on top of a truly fulfilling day.
We wrapped up with a delicious meal back at the hotel – think HUGE crabs and prawns! Want to know more? You’ll have to watch the vlog! 😉
Thank you for being a part of this journey, and as always, stay tuned, stay connected, and most importantly, keep smiling! 😊
