Keyboard concerto in E minor H. 428/Wq. 24 by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach with sheet music.
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was a well-established classical music composer, born in 1714 Weimar. He became an important figure in the 18th century, influencing composers like Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven. C.P.E. Bach's composition style was sober but quite free in structure, harmony (making use of chromatic harmonies without any clear function), and sometimes very expressive, foreshadowing the Romantic Period. This is typical of the Empfindsamer Stil, of which C.P.E. was the greatest exponent. This keyboard concerto was composed in 1748, when C.P.E. was working under Frederick II of Prussia; it features three movements: Allegretto - Largo - Allegretto. The orchestra is composed of strings and basso continuo.
Allegretto: 0:01
Largo: 7:14
Allegretto: 14:35
Performers: Berliner Barock Solisten
Pianist: Michael Rische
