7 Minutes with Reillo. Next up at Unlocked: The Original Music Showcase on 3rd September 2026, we welcomed Reillo, a four-piece original blues-rock band from the Liverpool area. With decades of experience between them, the band delivered a superb live performance, with every member playing their part brilliantly. At the centre of it all is frontman James Ollier, whose original songs blend classic blues-rock with echoes of Dire Straits, The Traveling Wilburys, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. James also brings something particularly distinctive to the guitar — playing lead with his thumb, creating a fluid, understated style with shades of Jeff Beck and Mark Knopfler. Alongside James are Alexandar Gjorgjievski on drums, Steve Dunbar on bass and vocals, and Rob Higgins on guitar and vocals, creating a tight four-piece sound full of groove, melody and storytelling. Formed in 2023 to showcase James Ollier's original material, Reillo have been steadily building a following around Liverpool and the wider North West, bringing seasoned musicianship and heartfelt original blues-rock to the stage. If you like proper live musicians, original songs and blues-rock played with real craftsmanship, Reillo are definitely worth keeping an eye on.
