Words by Miriam E Arnold 1914. Music by Charles Gabriel. At five years of age Miriam, with her parents, came to America and settled at Mount Clemens, [Michigan].
Her parents were devoted Christians, bible students and lovers of the old church hymns. The Sabbath meant, to them, a holy day, a day of rest, worship and meditation, and when the evening came, the family always assembled for prayer, bible reading and songs.
It is understood Miriam made the personal decision to accept Christ into her life at 15 years of age. Later she is a consistent member of the [Methodist Episcopal] church. Her first poem was published in 1895, and has been succeeded by probably 100 others, almost all of which have been set to music and found their way into different song books. She wrote at least 34 hymn lyrics.
Charles Gabriel taught himself to play organ at his family's farm. He was teaching singing by age 15. He went on to compose over 260 hymns.

This is original worship music created for rest and prayer.
Every song and image here starts with us.
The worship lyrics are written by hand from Scripture, and the visuals are ones we come up with and direct ourselves, drawn from countless hours in the Word, in worship and listening to God's inspiration.
We then use Ai to help bring those ideas to life, and we finish the work by hand, mixing and editing the sound, choosing and arranging every scene, and putting each video together.
The ideas, the study, and the finishing are ours.
Ai is just the tool that helps us realise them. All of it for one purpose that of bringing glory to Jesus and we pray that the songs bless you in some way.
My lovely wife Susan also has her own music video channel with many more songs than I have had time to produce. I can recommend her channel @LampsonFire for the varying themes of her videos.
