Why Introverts Actually Win in Retirement

Why do introverts seem to enjoy retirement so much? Maybe it's because we've spent our entire lives preparing for it without even realizing it. I've lived alone for 39 years, and I've always been an introvert. During my working years, I hated company Christmas parties, business dinners, entertaining vendors, and forced social gatherings. I could handle those situations just fine, but that didn't mean I enjoyed them. When I retired ten years ago, I didn't miss any of it. We're constantly told that a happy retirement requires staying socially active, joining clubs, making friends, and keeping busy. But what if you're perfectly happy spending time alone? In this video, I share why being an introvert has made my retirement easier, why living alone doesn't necessarily mean being lonely, and why retirement finally gave me the freedom to live the way I've always preferred. Of course, being an introvert doesn't mean we don't need people. Family, relationships, and having someone to count on still matter. But maybe a successful retirement isn't about how many activities you have on your calendar. Maybe it's about finally being able to live life on your own terms. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
