Walkthrough by Bermy
Enemies:
Armored Ant
Chained Kong
Lava Babble
Magmus
Stompillar
Stumpet
Urspike
Vomer
Drop back down and speak with the gate guards to gain access to the hot springs. The springs will heal you to full, but the main goal is to exit on the right to enter the next dungeon.
00:42 - Barrel Volcano
Note that every enemy here has high defense just about. That said, normal attacks will work just fine unless you encounter a Special Magmus. You can use magic to defeat those. You will need to use magic to defeat the Vomers as well.
Jump across the small platforms at the bottom to head to the next screen where you can find 2 chests containing 2 Flowers. Return to the prior room and jump up the path on the left. You will run into another chest that containing another Flower. Follow the path and you will see another chest containing 100 coins.
The next screen has a chest with a Star in it. Try and defeat as many enemies as you can before the Star wears off as this makes the paths a lot quicker. You will eventually arrive in a room where a Frog Coin is hovering above the lava. You will need to jump over and land on it. This will send you back to the entrance of the room, which is fine. Exit the room and cross the platforms in the next room.
You will see a floating Frog Coin that you can't quite grab here. Enter the next room, then return to the prior room with the Frog Coin. Fall into the lava and it will send you flying up in the air to pick up the Frog Coin. In the next room, jump on the nearby platforms on both sides of the room to collect 2 more Frog Coins.
You will arrive in a room with a save square that has a Flower and Frog Coin in 2 chests. Exit the room to run into a Stumpet. Stay on the ledge and follow the path until you reach a Stormpillar. Make sure to defeat the Body, not the Head first. Defeating the Head causes the Body to explode, almost certainly killing a member of your party. Follow this path until you reach Cinder Toad. Collect the coins from the chest before speaking with him.
Inside, the Cinder Toad will sell you new weapons/armor and allow you to rest. Exit this room and cross the platforms (which can be a pain). When you reach the other side be ready for a boss fight.
17:14 - Czar Dragon (1,400 HP) & Zombone (Boss - 1,800 HP)
Czar Dragon is predictably weak to Ice Magic. That said, you won't need it. I recommend using just normal attacks or having Geno use Boost on Mario to increase his attack, which really speeds this fight up even more. After a couple rounds, the Czar Dragon will fall and be replaced by Zombone.
There is nothing special to be concerned with here, especially if you are geared like I am. Simply use normal attacks and Zombone will die just as quickly.
After the fight, follow the Axem Rangers all the way outside the volcano. You will jump on their ship and begin another boss fight.
22:33 - Axem Rangers (Boss - 400 - 800 HP) & The Blade (Boss - 999 HP)
You have to fight 5 bosses at once here, and they can hurt (particularly Axem Yellow). I recommend defeating the Axem Green first since he does status attacks, followed by the Axem Pink (who heals), then Axem Yellow. After that it doesn't matter who you defeat next. You should only need to use boosted normal attacks to defeat all of these guys at this stage of the game.
Once you have defeated all 5 of the Axem Rangers, you face off against The Blade. The Blade will do unblockable damage to your entire party during its first turn. You can use Mario/Geno/Peach's Triple Skill to block it, or you can just not worry about it (like me) and keep dishing out the damage. You shouldn't have any trouble with this boss. After the fight, you receive the sixth Star Piece. Return to Nimbus Castle and speak with the King to have him open the path back to Bowser's Castle for you.
29:27 - Frying Pan (Peach's Ultimate Weapon)
First, however, let's head to Moleville. Return to the Item Shop and speak with the treasure hunting Toad. he will sell you a Mystery Egg, a Feather, and a Metal Plate. The Metal Plate just so happens to be Peach's strongest weapon, the Frying Pan. Now we can head back to Nimbus Land.
