This animation demonstrates the typical installation process of self-drilling anchor bolts for slope stabilization. Self-drilling anchor bolts integrate drilling, grouting, and anchoring into a single installation process. The hollow anchor bar allows grout to be injected through the bar after or during drilling, helping form an effective bond between the anchor and the surrounding ground. Installation Process: 1. Drilling The self-drilling anchor bolt is drilled into the slope using a sacrificial drill bit. 2. Grouting Cement grout is injected through the hollow anchor bar to fill the borehole and improve the bond with the surrounding ground. 3. Anchoring After grouting, the anchor bar and grout form an integrated anchorage system within the surrounding ground. The anchor system works together with bearing plates, nuts, mesh, shotcrete, or other slope protection measures to improve slope stability. Self-drilling anchor bolts can be used for: • Slope stabilization • Rock slope reinforcement • Landslide prevention • Excavation support Compared with conventional anchoring methods that may require separate casing and drilling operations, self-drilling anchor systems are particularly suitable for fractured rock, loose formations, unstable ground, and difficult drilling conditions. #SelfDrillingAnchorBolt #SlopeStabilization #SlopeSupport #SoilNailing #RockBolt #SelfDrillingRockBolt
