🌸 Welcome back to Wisconsin Blooms!
Today I'm working on a packaging project for my flower preservation business, but instead of buying custom stamps or stickers, I'm making them myself using an old traffic cone.
A few months ago, I met an artist at a Vision Zero event in Milwaukee who used retired traffic cones to create artwork. Ever since then, I've loved finding creative ways to reuse materials that would otherwise become waste.
In this video, I: 🌿 Carve custom packaging stamps from a traffic cone 📦 Package Etsy orders 🎨 Create Wisconsin Blooms branding materials 🦋 Add freebies for customers 💡 Share some of my thoughts on building a business with limited resources
One of the values I want Wisconsin Blooms to be built around is creativity and resourcefulness. I don't always have the newest tools or the perfect setup, but I've learned that sometimes constraints lead to the most creative solutions.
Materials used:
🌸 Speedball Water-Based Ink 🌸 Speedball Roller 🌸 Traffic Cone (reclaimed) 🌸 Amazon carving tools 🌸 Reused glass from a picture frame 🌸 Reclaimed cardboard 🌸 Thrifted paper 🌸 Rescued art paper
I hope this video encourages you to be creative, resourceful, and willing to try things that aren't always the conventional solution.
Sometimes the best tools are the ones you already have.
