Conditor alme siderum - David Stokes [Johannus LiVE III AGO]

This fine piece is based upon the Advent Vespers office hymn melody "Conditor alme siderum" (Creator of the stars of night). The composer has dedicated it to Dan Mansfield, himself one of the house composers at Church Organ World, along with David. It is published in Volume 4 of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh by Church Organ World and can be purchased here: https://sheetorganmusic.co.uk/product... This recording was made on a Johannus Live III AGO organ, using the sample of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in Église Notre-Dame d'Auteuil, Paris. The sample sets can be heard from four positions: console, front of the church, centre of the church. This one was recorded using the rear of the church setting, allowing the most generous recording of the acoustic. Steven Maxson is well known as an organist, conductor, composer, and arranger.
