The River Remembers

The River Remembers tells the story of the 1939 Cummeragunja Walk-Off, when Yorta Yorta families crossed the Murray River in one of Australia's earliest Indigenous civil rights protests. Through the voice of the river, this song honours the courage, resilience and determination of those who stood up for dignity and freedom. Written and performed by D.D. Morgan. "The river remembers what history should never forget." #DDMorgan #TheRiverRemembers #CummeragunjaWalkOff #YortaYorta #AustralianCountryMusic
