Perhaps the biggest British wrestling star ever, Davey Boy Smith began his career at 15 years old as Young David in 1978 on World of Sport. A decade later he was a household name, and one of the most well known wrestlers for the WWF, the World Wrestling Federation, at the time it exploded onto TV screens on the new Sky Sports channel around 1990 Like many wrestlers of this era though, sadly, Davey Boy passed away at the young age of 39 in 2002. Today, I headed to Golborne, a town between Liverpool and Manchester, to find the final resting place of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer.
