Join us on a scenic West of Scotland day trip as we head "doon the watter" from Largs to the Isle of Great Cumbrae aboard the MV Loch Shira.
In this video, we take our car across the Firth of Clyde to explore the charming coastal town of Millport and tour the highlights of Great Cumbrae. Along the way, we take in stunning views of Lion Rock, check out the iconic Crocodile Rock and mysterious painted stones, stroll through the beautiful gardens at Garrison House, and admire the clever yarn-bombing on display.
We'll also visit Britain's smallest cathedral (the Cathedral of the Isles), stop by the famous Wedge House (one of the narrowest houses in the UK), grab some treats at the local sweetie shop, and enjoy ice cream by the promenade. Finally, we loop around the island to take in the breathtaking panoramic views from Bell Bay, Fintry Bay, and the Glaid Stone viewpoint before catching the evening ferry back to Largs.
If you love Scottish island heritage, coastal scenery, and travel nostalgia, sit back and enjoy the journey.
