I'm just a mom and a sewist, begging the universe to let me do it all.

Being a mother and a passionate creative is tough sometimes. On the one hand, I love that I have my own interests that help me hold on to who I am outside of my role as a mother. On the other hand, my role as a mother often pulls me away from those interests. I wouldn't trade motherhood for anything in the world. I love being a mom and I love my children more than anything I ever knew possible. I love that one day they will hopefully develop a creative spirit and work on their own projects alongside me. So when I do projects like these and get frustrated that it took me EIGHT MONTHS to finish it, I remind myself that doing work quickly is not the goal. The goal is to love what I do, and love the little ones I get to do it all with.
