He Hid the Body Under the Floor. Then He Asked the Police to Sit Down. | The Tell-Tale Heart

Happy Halloween, sunbeams. Tonight my grimoire has something older than all of us: Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" (1843). My first time ever reading it, so every reaction is my honest reaction. A man wants you to know he is not mad. Then he tells you exactly what he did to the old man with the vulture eye, and what he heard after the police sat down. Stay past the outro. There's a little sunshine at the end to bring you back up: a short, cozy original, "The Last Pumpkin on the Porch."
