MAHIKENG, NORTH WEST – Ratshidi Hall in Stateng Village became the setting for an important conversation about local economic development and international trade when Baobab Ubuntu Media hosted the Chinese Embassy and North West Business Chinese Zero-Tariff Market Policy Summit. The summit brought together representatives from the Chinese Embassy, North West Department of Economic Development, African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA), North-West University, traditional leadership, academia, farmers and members of the local community to explore how South African producers and businesses can better understand and prepare for opportunities in the Chinese market.
