Bookish Mail I Definitely Didn't Need (Illumicrate & Special Edition Haul)

A confession right out of the gate: I bought a 600-page fantasy chunker that actively intimidates me, bought boutique editions of books I already own, and immediately rejected an ACOTAR puzzle. Zero pretense, just honest book talk and shelf reality. Welcome to Bookish B-Sides. In this pilot unboxing, we’re digging through a fresh batch of literary deliveries, 15th-anniversary merch, and subscription box goodies. We’re taking a close look at the physical craftsmanship, spine aesthetics, and story premises—from Out of Print’s The Night Circus anniversary tribute to Heirloom Books' foil editions of Kaylie Smith's Phantasma and Enchantra. Plus, a blunt look at Illumicrate’s feature fantasy, The Raven Scholar, and testing out random reading challenge cards.
