WPIX Commercial Breaks (May 4, 1986)

Taken from the Universal Pictures Debut Network airing of Vertigo, the 1958 Alfred Hitchcock film. WPIX (channel 11) carried the network for New York City viewers, which mainly brought Universal's film library to television (though Vertigo was a Paramount film). WPIX is now affiliated with The CW. The late Doug Paul voices most of the promos for both the network and WPIX. Based in Georgia, Doug began VO'ing for WGNX (now WANF), and Tribune Broadcasting used him for their stations throughout the 80s and 90s. He also VO'ed the Universal Debut Network, along with other ad-hocs like MGM/UA, Spelling, Worldvision, and the Action Pack. (C) 1986 Tribune Broadcasting; WPIX is now owned by Nexstar Media Group.
