Szombathely in western Hungary is one of the most important stations on the network of the Austro-Hungarian cross-border operator GYSEV (Raaberbahn). Aside from modern Flirt units built by Stadler, Szombathely is also a hotspot for freight trains still hauled by the classic V43 (Class 431) electric locomotives. The other, larger Hungarian State Railway MÁV is not absent from the scene either in Szombathely, with IC trains coming in from Budapest and additional loco-hauled trains arriving from other cities. - - V43 Szili. GYSEV Cargo. - - Szombathely (Steinamanger) ist ein wichtiger Knotenpunkt im Netz der GYSEV (Raaberbahn) und man trifft auch auf viele Lok-bespannte Züge der andern ungarischen Staatsbahn MÁV. Der elegante Bahnhof von Szombathely bietet viel k.u.k Flair und wurde 1902 durch die Südbahn eröffnet. Weiterhin ein Stammgast in Szombathely ist die klassische E-Lok V31 (Reihe 431), allerdings bei der Raaberbahn nur noch vor Güterzügen, bei der MÁV auch noch im Personenverkehr.
