Strategy
----------
Wait no way. There is no way someone other than Ryu can pull this off. Well Rei is the GOAT for a reason. He doesn't need an uberpowered transformation to dispose of an overtuned robot from a junkyard (even though he has one as we know). As you can see from the length of the video, this will be torturous not only for Beserker but for us too (Rei really out here damaging every living thing whether it's 2d or 3d).
Well anyway time for the actual strategy. First we need to figure out a way to survive Beserker's hits. We go full defense mode with defense formation + poisoned party. For those who don't know, poison actually reduces damage received by 25% so in this case it's actually beneficial. However, even with this Rei can get killed with a high roll especially considering the poison gradually decreasing our health. The only option left is defending which does work. Beserker's damage maxes out at 163 exactly so even with multiple poison hits, we can still tank an attack.
However if we're defending in normal turns, that obviously means we need EX turns to do anything. And well, who else will run circles around Beserker other than the GOAT? Rei needs to be level 48 at the bare minimum (which he should be since I did 0 grinding in this whole challenge) + Burglar Garb + Speed Boots + 2 Speeds to get EX turns. Afterwards we feed Beserker 2 Rainbowtrouts as a final meal before death.
Now that the setup is done, we can start talking about offense. Rei's power is too low to damage Beserker and Weretiger can't heal himself. So that leaves us with mighty Myolinir as our only form of damage. Who would have thought that Myolinir would be a vital spell for one of these boss fights besides an Electric weak enemy? I use the Spirit + Wisdom Rings on every Myolinir to max out my damage & minimize AP use (Mind Shield can be added too). The damage ranges from 75-107. So now all those Wisdom Fruits come in handy as well. When it comes to healing, we obviously heal after getting hit or if poison brings us close to that 163 HP mark. Beserker eventually runs out of AP, which means no Fire Whip healing, which slows down the progress due to extra healing turns. On my last 2 Wisdom Fruits I switch to double Wisdom Rings for extra damage since I calculated that I didn't need the 50% AP reduction anymore.
After what seems like eternity, we finally work him down to the Beserk phase but oops, he doesn't have any AP to use it. And that's exactly why we fed him 2 Rainbowtrouts because he has 500 AP while Fire Whip costs 15. So do the math and you get that 510 makes it so that his total can reach 0. Now just transform into a Weretiger and just finish him by showing what an actual Beserker looks like.
I gotta say this final battle is a perfect representation of what makes Rei so unstoppable. His fighting style results in long battles but it's effective. The EX turns make it so that he can always act before needing healing again which means that progress is not interrupted due to being stuck in a healing phase. He has every form of damage whether it's magic, multi target magic, death attacks or hard hitting power with Weretiger. He is the ultimate clutch fighter with his high evade rate (25%), high agility and Weretiger as last resort. I can go on and on about his strengths but the baseline is, that he can adapt to any situation and do pretty much anything required to win.
Is he as oppressive as Ryu? Not even close, but if anyone is right up there in terms of overall effectiveness, it's him.
And that's it for the Rei SSCC. And following this trend, next up is the Momo SSCC!
