Death Came Riding

“Death Came Riding” is the fifth chapter of the Crescent Echo dark western story. After walking away from the men and choices that destroyed his old life, the weary outlaw believes he must carry his sins alone. Then, across an empty ridge, a solitary rider appears. Death does not chase him. He doesn’t need to. The black horse moves steadily across the plain, through the cemetery, and into town. The man knows exactly who is coming, but instead of running, he enters the saloon, pours himself a final drink, and lays five cards upon the table. This chapter ends moments before Death walks through the doors. The story continues from “Graves of Better Men” and leads directly into “Death Owes Me a Drink.” Subscribe to Crescent Echo and follow the complete dark western story. #DeathCameRiding #CrescentEcho #DarkWestern #DarkFolk #WesternMusic #OriginalMusic
