10 Things the Book of Enoch Says Happened Before the Great Flood

10 things the Book of Enoch says happened before the Great Flood — and none of them are in the Bible you know. Two hundred angels swore an oath on a mountaintop. Giants three thousand ells tall devoured the food chain until they turned on each other. A specific angel taught humanity to forge weapons before law existed. The earth itself filed a legal complaint and named the defendants. One condemned angel was buried alive in a desert pit and is still there. A man was escorted to the edges of creation to serve as a witness. A prayer written by a human on behalf of fallen angels was delivered to the throne and denied. A preexistent figure sat on a throne of glory in a Jewish text older than any Gospel. Nature's boundaries collapsed in a biological chain reaction the flood was designed to quarantine. And the spirits of the drowned giants had nowhere to go — so they stayed.
