Were you your sibling’s parent? If you were the oldest, you might have been handed responsibilities long before you were ready for them. In follow up to my previous video on this topic, in this video, I share how I’m raising my daughters differently than my sister and I were raised. My oldest gets to be a big sister. She does not have to be a backup parent. Both of my girls get the space to simply be kids. If you grew up as the responsible one, the helper, the one who kept everyone okay, this conversation is for you. It can be hard figuring out how to do things differently for your own kids (if you have them), so I wanted to share what’s been working for me. As always, do whatever works best for you and yours! 💬 Tell me in the comments: Were you the oldest? What did you carry that wasn’t yours to carry? 📥 Want to have more honest conversations at home?
