You don't have to set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

AFLAME by KT CANARY "This song was actually written as a pleading warning – to myself. It’s a reminder to temper my compassion with wisdom. Giving more than I had was a dangerous game to play. Learning to pace myself, preserve my strength, and budget my energy was a hard climb after a very steep fall. I have done so much healing in this area and I feel very strongly about keeping the ground I’ve gained. My hope is that this song reaches the ears of other givers and empaths who also need to be reminded to put their own oxygen mask on first and take a step back from savior mode." -KT Canary ________________________________________________ OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO:    • Aflame / Official Lyric Video / Self-care ...   SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4NX0K... May you only ever give what you have and nothing more. It is too cruel to ask us to watch you burn for our sake. Please don't light yourself on fire. Please don’t light Don’t light) Yourself aflame Uh Uh Uh Uh Mmm Uh Uh Uh Uh Mmm Mmm Uh Uh Uh Uh Whoa I know in the darkness they can’t see All that they can truly be They can’t fathom the possibilities But, you don’t need to set yourself on fire Don’t waste your breath being the town crier I know you just want to make it brighter Whoa But, please don’t set yourself on fire Don’t light yourself aflame ‘Cause it would be shame If you made a bonfire of your heart Just to alleviate the dark When it only takes a spark. Please don’t light Don’t light Yourself aflame I know you just want them to learn I know you think that its your turn I know you’re willing to burn But, please don’t light Don’t light Don’t light yourself aflame ________________________________________________ Cover Art Design: KT Canary Original Lyrics: KT Canary Musical Arrangement/ Production: KT Canary | Suno Vocals: Suno Lyric Video Design: KT Canary © 2026 KT Canary.
