Ashfield Garbage

I'm pretty sure it was December in 2010 when SITA's contract expired with Ashfield, but Cleanaway picked up the work and brought some new trucks into the council. I managed to get down there during the next April for some videos, first dropping by on a Thursday in the Croydon area in hope of finding a truck. The first I came across was finished for the day, however, there was still heaps of garbage left to collect, which drew me to a brand new truck and an old Kogarah truck (which you'll get a glimpse of in the video). I'm not entirely sure if they have a second brand newie working in Ashfield alongside this one, gets me thinking now. This loud ACCO is a nice truck but, looks good in white with the Ashfield signage, but I don't understand why they only threw it on one side of the body? The lifter runs a lot faster now, but it's funny seeing how slow this truck still was when it was a few months old - compare it to the new St George truck! You may also spot a couple of runners in the video; they get all the bins set-up for collection, so the runs are not set-up smoothly like this by the residents =]
