Asian Games 4x400m relay gold medalist M.R. Poovamma received a grand welcome upon her arrival at Mangaluru International Airport from various sports organizations, students, and supporters. However, the star athlete expressed deep hurt over the lack of initial recognition from Karnataka state leaders. Poovamma shared that chief ministers from other states personally called their winning athletes immediately, while she received no official wishes until DCM Dr. G.
