Circadian Hijacking Incident

In August 1990 the late night program of Circadian Broadcasting was hijacked and the channel was subsequently shut off until the morning of the next day. The hijacking was not acknowledged by the broadcasters or local authorities. However, due to the late hours not enough personnel were present to stop the hijacking fast enough. Because of this the material was seen by several citizens, but not too many to make a big deal out of it. It was dismissed as a bad joke similar to the Max Headroom incident and not much came of it. The content was kept secret nonetheless leading to some conspiracy theories arising throughout the area. The authorities claimed the classification was due to the disturbing nature of the material.
