🏰 💀 Dark Castles & Ghost Houses | These Logos Terrified a GENERATION! Into the Logo-Verse

#darkcastle #ghosthouse #2000shorror The Logo-Verse is celebrating the Halloween season with a special look at TWO of the spookiest production company logos ever made! For anyone who grew up in the early days of the Millennium, Dark Castle Entertainment and Ghost House Pictures absolutely defined the horror genre. These production companies truly are "cinematic cousins." Not only were both co-founded by legendary directors (Robert Zemeckis for Dark Castle and Sam Raimi for Ghost House), they both emerged within just a few years of each other. Most significantly, both specialized in glossy, effects-driven horror films that tended to boast name actors and significant budgets: "House on Haunted Hill." "Thir13en Ghosts." "The Grudge." "House of Wax." "30 Days of Night." If you came of age in the mid-2000s, there was a good chance your first "modern" scary movie came from one of these two companies. And there's an equally good chance that their iconic logos gave you a nice little jolt before a single frame of the film even appeared. Join me for a deep dive into the history of these era-defining emblems and their classic horror imagery! ** Timestamps ** 00:00 | Intro 01:18 | Origins of Dark Castle Entertainment 02:21 | William Castle 03:34 | Dark Castle Entertainment Logo (original) 03:48 | Analysis of the Dark Castle Logo 04:24 | Dark Castle: The Films & Logo History 06:57 | Origins of Ghost House Pictures 08:11 | Ghost House Pictures Logo (Original) 08:21 | Analysis of the Ghost House Pictures Logo 09:00 | Ghost House: The Films & Logo History 11:14 | Dark Castle & Ghost House: Their Legacy 12:27 | Dedication to Bruce Campbell All copyrighted clips/sound effects are the property of their respective owners.
