10 Years of Amiga Gaming - 1989

Now, when I just began to think that 1988 was great, I did this 1989 part and it's just so much stronger choice of games and genres. It's crazy! And I've already over 75 games to choose from for 1990 and they look insane! Anyway, 1989 was a pretty straightforward year in computing, other then the 486DX being released nothing major happened so developers kept doing what they do best, so releasing games. And it shows, this year Amiga had many different games in numerous genres, some even so crossed that it was hard to classify them in just one. So, if you're interested in the slightest or wonder if any of your favorites are included, grab something to drink, watch the video and let me know what you think. :) If you like this series, perhaps you could enjoy a similar one I've made for PC DOS and for C64? 10 Years of PC DOS Gaming:    • Плейлист   10 Years of C64 Gaming:    • The Definitive C64 Gaming Guide (1982–1991)   For few of the videos I couldn't record the gameplay myself or it was not feasible as it either would've taken way too much time to get far enough in the game or I'm just not good enough at it anymore. 4n7 HardCore gamer ‪@4n71r14d‬ Abandonware ‪@insertdisk‬ adalsgaard ‪@adalsgaard‬ Aedan mac Gabrain ‪@aedanmacgabrain8564‬ Checkpoint T.V. ‪@pelikopteri‬ Dr Pecze Andor ‪@peczeandor‬ Reign of Victories ‪@reignofvictories2573‬ World of Longplays ‪@world-of-longplays‬ znowu gram ‪@znowugram1975‬ They are all amazing folk serving great videos of high quality and deserve your subscription! They suer have mine. I make those videos in my spare time and currently work towards replacing a mic, couple of bits here and there in my rapidly aging editing rig (as it has developed a nasty habit of crashing my editing software on a totally random basis) and hopefully a camera. So, if you like what I do here and feel generous, I would appreciate any help towards these goals. You can donate either via PayPal or Skrill or support me on Patreon. All that is required to play the games is: The WinUAE emulator (https://winuae.net) Amiga's kickstart file ADF files with games ADF files are disk images corresponding to floppy disks used for Amiga games. You can easily find them with a bit of googling usually by typing something akin to "game title adf amiga download". Same could be said about kickstart files but these can also be purchased via Amiga Forever website with one of their packs (https://www.amigaforever.com) or even cheaper (last time I checked it was $0.99) on Android as a part of Amiga Forever Essentials. And these files can be easily moved to PC. 0:00 Intro to 10 Years of Amiga Gaming Part 4: 1989 1:18 Spy vs Spy 2 2:36 Rock Star Ate My Hamster 3:49 Batman The Movie 4:49 Beach Volley 5:45 Test Drive II The Duel 6:38 Shadow of the Beast 7:49 Rick Dangerous 8:53 Lost Dutchman Mine 10:05 R-Type 10:52 F-16 Combat Pilot 12:00 Kick Off 12:57 Populous 14:17 Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition 15:41 Gravity Force 16:29 Silk Worm 17:44 Future Wars: Time Travellers 18:50 Starflight 20:28 Millennium 2.2 21:42 Sim City 23:03 Oil Imperium 24:13 Hybris 25:05 Laser Squad 26:10 Lords of the Rising Sun 27:28 Chaos Strikes Back 28:41 Maniac Mansion 29:58 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 31:01 North & South 32:27 Stunt Car Racer 33:39 Battle Squadron 34:44 It Came From the Desert #amiga #amiga500 #amiga600 #amiga1200 #video #videogames #1989 #history #gaming #gamingvideos #gaminghistory #commodore #best #bestgames #retro #classicgaming #classicgames #retrogaming #retrogames #10yearsofamigagaming #cinemaware #batman #hybris #itcamefromadesert #indianajonesandthelastcrusade #indianajones #kickoff #northandsouth #rickdangerous #populous #shadowofthebeast #rtype #simcity #silkworm #stuntcarracer #classicgames #classic #abandonware #retrogames #retrogaming #retrogaminghistory
