This is Barry Ord Clarke's super quick hot glue ant, that - with a little practice and preparation, takes less that 3 minutes to tie. With this technique you can tie flying ants in all black, red or as my personal favorite here in a black & red combo. Ants are prevalent in rivers and lakes that flow through coniferous forests. They don't land on the water all that often, but trout and grayling - once they've had a taste - will always tend to willingly rise to these protein-rich and tasty terrestrials.
