Shalford Station 21/02/2012

Situated on the line from Guildford to Redhill, Shalford sees services run by First Great Western, using Class 165 / 166 'Turbo' DMUs. However I had been told that a Colas Rail Class 47 was to be used on a series of driver training runs through the station, so I went over there to gain some footage of what is an extremely rare sight around this area. The 47 used was 47749 'Demelza, and was used on the following diagrams: 0Z33 - Eastleigh CED to Redhill 0Z34 - Redhill to Woking Yard 0Z35 - Woking Yard to Redhill 0Z36 - Redhill - Eastleigh CED The runs filmed are 0Z35 and 0Z36, as I was using 0Z33 and 0Z34 for photography. The photos have been included at the end of the video. Also featured are several FGW services that I had filmed in between the runs of 47749.
