2000 Subscriber Special Non Dead Mall: Hawthorn Mall - Vernon Hills, Il

A regional mall in Vernon Hills, Il, it has over 180 stores and 5 department store slots. A darling in the north metro, this has fallen into the background of the much larger Gurnee Mills further north. The mall is in the midst of a large redevelopment after a rash of department store closures. We will wait and see.
