Lathe Apron full rebuild without buying parts - let’s make a new rack pinion gear!

A badly worn Colchester / Clausing lathe carriage apron is fully refurbished. In the first part of the video I explain how to correctly identify the pinion gear’s “profile shifted” tooth form and then go on to make the new pinion. Next, apron refurbishment is covered. Only thrust races and seals were purchased everything else was made in the home workshop.
