Mind of Mine is about spiritual exhaustion — believing enough to keep asking God questions, but being tired enough to wonder whether He’s listening at all. It’s about financial pressure, physical pain, emotional burnout, trying to take initiative and rebuild your life only to watch things fall apart again. It’s about being told to “just pray,” “just go to church,” or “trust the process” when you’re already doing everything you know how to do. It questions why innocent people suffer, why cruelty can look so comfortable, why good people break, and why delayed justice is supposed to feel reassuring when the pain is happening right now. There’s no neat answer in this song. Just someone still talking to God because some part of them still hopes He’s there. “I still talk to Him.
