Martial’s famous poem lays out a Roman day hour by hour, but it describes a man with time to spare. So what did everyone else in Rome actually do from dawn to dark? AD 50–120) through Tacitus, Seneca, Martial, Juvenal, Pliny, inscriptions, and archaeology. #AncientRome #RomanHistory #DailyLifeInRome #RomeRecast #RomanEmpire
