He began his economic career in the traditional markets of Yazd, trading sugar, oil and other commodities. But for Rasoulian, success was not simply about expanding a business. He came to believe that the future of Yazd depended on infrastructure, production and essential services. A major turning point came in 1950, when he founded the Yazd Electricity and Agriculture Development Company — an initiative connected to the development of essential infrastructure at a time when Yazd was gradually entering a new era of economic and industrial growth. Rasoulian also served for nearly two decades as head of the Yazd Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines, bringing together merchants, industrialists and economic leaders during an important period in the development of Yazd's private sector. But his legacy went beyond commerce and industry. Through his charitable activities, he supported schools, libraries, mosques and public facilities, while also contributing to healthcare and the education of girls. For Rasoulian, development was not limited to factories and trade. Education, health and culture were also part of the infrastructure of a city's future. He passed away in 1971, but his legacy remains visible across Yazd — in institutions, buildings and the path of economic and social development he helped shape.
