The story of Kodak, from a bank clerk's kitchen in Rochester, New York, in the 1870s to the factory that still makes film there today. Along the way come George Eastman and the first Kodak camera of 1888, the one-dollar Brownie, Kodak Park, the anonymous gifts of "Mr. Smith", Kodachrome and the color snapshot, the Instamatic, the first hand-held digital camera, built inside Kodak in 1975, the fights with Polaroid and Fuji, and the bankruptcy of 2012. Clear narration over photographs and film from open archives. This is an independent history, not affiliated with or endorsed by any company.
