ThyssenKrupp Velino Escalators - Plaza del Sol - Bayamon, PR

The only set of escalators in the mall that leads to the upstairs food court, and very interesting how they are ThyssenKrupp, implying that this very likely replaced a previous set of escalators (likely Montgomery Kone) when the mall was remodeled around 2012. After further researching, I saw a photo of the mall before remodeling, including the former escalators and they were actually the Montgomery Kone E-Series HR model which is quite of unfortunate as those were the good ones (plus the very few ones ever installed in Puerto Rico), and not the cheaply E-5000 ones, plus the originals had glass underneath the balustrades to see the internal mechanism unlike the current escalators which is solid wall.
