First Flight On A High B Wing - I Wish I Still Had My A Wing

🪂 One twisted strap. One wrapped speed line. And that after 20 minutes of checking. Hey friends 👋 After almost a year on my EN-A school wing, I finally made the step to my first own wing: the Triple Seven Rook 4, a high EN-B 🧡 This video shows my first two flights on it. No cross-country, no records, just a launch I already know and one big question: do I miss my EN-A? 🤔 Before takeoff, the thin and fiddly lines had me losing my patience 😤 I unhooked everything twice and started over, and I still only noticed in the air that one strap was twisted. On top of that, the speedbar didn't work at first because the speed line was wrapped. I could fix that one while flying. Then I tested the maneuvers I know from my school days to see how the wing reacts: big ears 🐘 (at the end they didn't open by themselves and I was a bit confused), my first side collapse, mini wingovers and fast circles 🌀 Later came the thermals 🌞 It's a north launch, so they come in the afternoon. The speed and the glide ratio are a huge difference to my EN-A, and in the thermals this wing is really great. And flying along the cliffs with the Vierwaldstättersee on my left? For me the most stunning thing in flying 🏔️💙 Right on the landing approach, a few meters above the ground, the wing showed me with a side collapse what it means to fly a high EN-B: be more present than on my EN-A and fly much more actively 😳 🔋 A small note: I merged my two flights into one story.
