This playthrough features both versions of Krizalid from the Dreamcast version of The King of Fighters ‘99: Evolution, showing his earlier boss form and his true powered-up state in action. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⚫ KRIZALID — 1ST FORM (COAT) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ This version appears before the final battle. He isn’t meant to be selectable, but even with a very small moveset, he performs far above what you’d expect from a limited boss character. His projectile attack comes out quickly, hits twice, and can override most single-hit projectiles The diving kick from the air is fast and links easily after jump attacks His height gives him strong reach, especially with kick normals Even though he’s labeled as the “weaker” form, he’s still highly effective against CPU opponents. Other details: He has a full command list despite not being a standard playable character He cannot crouch, but low kick inputs are still accessible through directional controls Uses mismatched UI elements (icons/portraits not fully aligned with his form) Striker usage is inconsistent and may not function in certain cases Design-wise, this version leans into a composed, dark, and controlled presence, with fewer animations compared to regular fighters. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔴 KRIZALID — 2ND FORM (FULL POWER) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After shedding the coat, Krizalid enters his final form. Here, his entire moveset changes and he becomes a fully playable character. Loses the projectile and aerial dive from his first form Gains completely new normals, special moves, and two Desperation Moves Under player control, this version is overwhelmingly strong: Nearly every move has very high priority Most normal attacks (except sweep) can cancel into specials and higher-level attacks Signature strengths: A spinning attack that covers wide range, deletes projectiles, and causes heavy chip damage A rising move with near-invulnerable properties A forward kick that beats most interactions in combat A command grab that guarantees a follow-up attack (special, DM, or SDM) Additional advantages: Builds power gauge extremely fast, even from blocked attacks Can create repeated combo loops using his grab setups Extra notes: Includes added animations like crouching attacks that were not present in earlier versions These animations are believed to come from unused data Has a proper portrait instead of the silhouette used previously Can also be selected as a striker with a unique assist action ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ #KOF99 #Krizalid #KOFGameplay #SNK #FightingGames #RetroGaming #Dreamcast #ArcadeGames #BossCharacter #KOFSeries #NeoGeo #GamingContent #RetroArcade #KOFPlayers #InfernosSaga
