Granbury City Council, Sept 15, 2026: Council Reconsiders Data Center and Power Generation Standards

Granbury City Council heard public comment and discussed proposed amendments to the City’s zoning ordinance establishing additional standards for data centers and power generation facilities. The proposed standards address issues including site plans, setbacks, building size and height, traffic, landscaping and screening, lighting, utilities and emergency access. Council also received updates regarding state laws that may affect the City’s authority to regulate these facilities. Following Executive Session, Council voted to reconsider its previous action and postpone further consideration of the item until Feb. 2, 2027.
