Ever since the teaser was published a month ago, I've never been this hyped before. So here it goes. A beta version of a mod for J.League Winning Eleven 2007 Club Championship (PS2, SLPM-66810). The goal was to turn the game into a 2006-07 MONSTER MOD (jk, this is a hyperbole by baygonstroberi) with real leagues and divisions, real squads, complete with correct season kits and logos. Yeah holy crap this is bigger than unmodded FM.
:: FEATURES ::
About 2,000 teams: 60 leagues/divisions + 9 groups of notable clubs + 204 national teams
Squads from the FM 2006 database and real 2006-07 lists; national teams built from World Cup 2006 / AFCON 2006 / Copa América 2007 / Euro 2008 / Asian Cup 2007 / Gold Cup 2007 squads
Club and league logos converted for the PS2 (mostly 2006-07 versions, some still modern or unconfirmed)
:: HOW TO? ::
Exhibition mode works: every league, 🇷🇺 and national team below can be selected (L2 / R2 to change page).
Edit mode uses the same pages.
Master League: for now it still only has its original leagues. The new leagues and divisions will come in a later version (big job: save size, promotions/relegations, transfers…).
National teams are Exhibition / Edit only (not in the Master League).
:: LEAGUES AND SECTIONS ::
58 European Leagues + 3 Other European Teams sections
12 Americans Leagues + Other South American Teams and Other CONCACAF Teams sections
14 Asian Leagues + 3 Other Asian Teams sections
9 African Leagues + 2 Other African Teams sections
204 National Teams over 6 continental confederations
*sorry, we need to simplify the list, more details are in the official thread.
:: KNOWN ISSUES FROM BETA VERSION ::
Master League: new leagues not included yet (coming later).
Some small national teams use estimated or created players when no 2006-07 squad could be found.
Some logos are still modern versions or have an unconfirmed date.
Tested mainly in Exhibition; please report bugs with a screenshot or a savestate to the official thread.
:: AVAILABLE LANGUAGE OPTIONS ::
The original game is in Japanese.
The mod translates the game texts into 5 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish (written without accents).
The language is chosen automatically from the console language (in PCSX2: the BIOS language setting): French → French, Spanish → Spanish, Portuguese → Portuguese, any other language → English.
You can change the language at any time in game: hold L1 + R1 and press SELECT (each press switches to the next language, Turkish included).
Some texts may still be untranslated or in Japanese – please report them with a screenshot.
:: IMPORTANT ::
ONLY WORKS IN PCSX2, ANY EMULATOR ARE NOT TESTED (e.g. ARMSX2, AetherSX2, NetherSX2, Retroarch forks, etc.)
Needed to activate 128MB RAM in settings
No PCSX2 legacy version test has been done.
:: PREREQUISITE PCSX2 SETTINGS ::
1. In PCSX2-qt, head over to "Tools" tab, tick the "Show Advanced Settings"
2. In the game list, right-click the game → Properties
3. Go to Advanced (or the emulation / "Advanced" settings tab)
4. Tick "Enable 128MB RAM (Dev Console)"4. Start the game again
Note: the setting is saved per game CRC. Each new version of the mod has a new CRC, so check the option again after updating.Requirements- PCSX2 with the 128 MB RAM option enabled (see above). Not for a real PS2 (a retail console only has 32 MB).
